Beverley has worked as a therapist for ten years, starting as a volunteer with Cruse Bereavement. She helped clients come to terms with the loss of a loved one, as well as working with young adolescents in a further education setting.
After completing two years psychodynamic training at Leicester University and a Person-Centred Counselling Diploma, Beverley furthered her training through Relate and University of Hull to become a Relationship Therapist.
She stayed with Relate for seven years, during which time she completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Systemic Practice (Couples & Families) through Birkbeck College, University of London. Beverley’s experience includes working in a variety of settings, offering individual face to face and telephone therapy, couples therapy, family work and more recently has been working in schools with children aged 5-16 years.
She brings to the practice extensive knowledge and experience in working with relationship issues, transitions, family difficulties, self esteem, depression, anxiety, grief and loss. Beverley offers an understanding, supportive yet appropriately challenging approach to her clinical work, thus supporting her clients to effect meaningful change.
